Feedback & Pyschological Safety At Work

The inspiration for looking into the delicate nature of giving and receiving feedback originated from my personal experience through workplaces, interviews, and the stories of countless coached clients. Those experiences and observations have shed light on the pivotal role that feedback plays in shaping our professional lives and the dynamics of the organizations we inhabit.

Having visited workplaces of many of my clients and also department stores where 72 Smalldive has a shop space, I couldn't help but notice a glaring disparity between the acknowledged importance of feedback and its actual implementation. While organizations often profess the significance of feedback, it tends to be confined to periodic 360-degree feedback sessions, a ritual that occurs in isolated intervals. What intrigued me was why the principles of feedback were not ingrained in the daily fabric of work life, where it could catalyze growth and fortify the psychological safety of the workspace.

In today's dynamic workplace, fostering a psychological safe work environment has become paramount for productivity and employee well-being. One crucial aspect of achieving this environment is effective feedback management. Feedback isn't just about correcting mistakes; it's about nurturing growth and development.
